As students will be participating in face-to-face instruction and distance education with the utilization of Canvas and other technology tools; therefore, all students will transport District assigned devices between home and school who take part in Hybrid Education. There may be situations in alignment with health and safety protocols that require a cohort and/or school to transition to full-time distance education; therefore, students must have their devices to seamlessly transition from the hybrid instructional model to full-time distance education, as necessary.
Students will use their District assigned device whenever possible. Based upon school needs, leadership may determine that all available technology be used. Adherence to proper social distancing and cleaning protocols shall be observed, including minimum spacing between computers and students and disinfecting equipment between groups of students.
Device deployment/Damaged or broken devices
Questions and concerns regarding devices, including device deployment, damaged or broken devices and additional technology needs should be communicated to school administration.
Cleaning District Assigned Devices
Liquid should not be sprayed directly on or allowed to dwell on electronic equipment. For shared or collected electronic equipment, such as computers, keyboards, mice, and phones, dampen a non-abrasive cloth with an approved liquid and gently wipe clean. For computer screens, use an approved screen cleaner. Avoid the use of aerosol sprays or abrasives (e.g., bleach, ammonia, acetone, and ethanol). Refer to manufacturer cleaning and sanitizing instructions for questions about specific equipment.
