Athletics

Update 4/23/2021

Based on recent gubernatorial directives, Nevada Guidance for Adult and Youth Sports, and NIAA sport-specific guidelines, high schools will allow visiting fans, as well as home fans, as spectators at spring season athletic events hosted on their campuses. Spectators will not be allowed at intramural events.

Schools will have site-based authority to implement plans for such action that is in alignment with current gubernatorial, NIAA, and CCSD directives. Schools must adhere to current capacity limits, face coverings, and social distancing. Health screenings and other mitigation practices must stay in full effect.  Schools will continue to use their previously approved “Return to Play Plans with Spectators” and will communicate the expectations and limitations with their colleagues, opponents, and fans.

Additionally, CCSD Athletics is grateful for the partnerships we have with organizations that allow us to host athletic events at their facilities such as local golf courses and swimming facilities. We appreciate the efforts they are putting forth to work with our schools and, at the same time, abide by COVID-19 restrictions.

CCSD will be abiding by all regulations, restrictions, and spectator policies implemented at each golf course, swim facility and other non-District facilities.
